Episode 7
Drum Solo in the ghost town of Lombardy
Consonno.
Consonno is a small fraction of the municipality of Olginate in the province of Lecco.
His is a particular story that has transformed it from an ancient medieval village to a ghost town.
Everything stems from the assumption that the inhabitants of the village were not the owners of their homes and, with the arrival of Count Mario Bagno, all the buildings were demolished to build a Lombard Las Vegas.
Because of the disfiguring work, a landslide has been slowed down by slowing down the work and driving away tourism.
Over the years, despite attempts to bring it back to life, the town was abandoned to itself.
Consonno is the most fascinating abandoned place I have ever visited.
If you have the desire like me to do things right by asking for permission to the property to reach the place with your car on a day when the barriers are closed, I strongly advise you not to do so.
Inform yourself instead with the people and associations that really care about that place.
